Kim Marie Johnson is an ordained minister. She is an author, artist, and designer. She is a speaker, and enjoys teaching Women's Bible Studies in events, small groups, and retreats. Marie is the author of "Becoming God's Woman: Unleashing the Secret Power of the Proverbs 31 Woman" and the upcoming book "Warrior Woman of Christ: Find Your Armor and PUT IT ON!"
Marie writes fiction and non-fiction. She writes and illustrates children’s books. With a singular interest in organization and research, she enjoys designing daily planners, praise and prayer journals, project journals, and creative journals of all types.
Marie holds a BFA in Interior Design from UGA and designed interiors for more than 25 years. She is now retired from interior design although, as a professional organizer, she enjoys the prospect of designing and organizing home libraries. Prior to 2008, she taught continuing education courses as well as designed and taught 21 on-line courses in interior design at Piedmont Technical College in Greenwood, SC.
Marie teaches Senior Adult Sunday School and Women's Bible Studies at Dewy Rose Baptist Church in Elberton, GA. For many years, Marie has enjoyed the privilege of working with youth. First, as a Girl Scout leader for her daughter and grand-daughters and then with the Souled Out Youth of DRBC. Now, as an ordained minister, Marie participates in the Kairos Prison Ministry.
While she utilizes many mediums in her art, dolls are her first love. Marie has been creating these for more than 40 years. She designs patterns for cloth dolls and doll clothes. She is the creator of Dolls on Parade© doll shows for charity.
Marie lives with her son, an assortment of animals, and Arizona Sun, a Lab/Weimaraner shelter rescue. Most important to her are her relationship with God, her three children, and five grandchildren who inspire her every second of every day.
