Marie is an ordained minister. It is her passion to inspire people to study the supernatural Word of God, to know His miraculous love, and to experience the joy of having Christ as their personal Savior.
She speaks at events, retreats, and small gatherings. She creates and teaches Women’s Bible studies. Marie is a writer and the author of “Becoming God’s Woman-Unleashing the Secret Power of the Proverbs 31 Woman, ” “This is my Shepherd,” and “Arise for Such a Time as This.” “Warrior Woman of Christ,” and “Dancing in the Storm” will be available soon. Marie writes fiction and non-fiction. She is the author of The Ninety-Six Trilogy, a family saga set during the Revolutionary War. She writes and illustrates children’s books. With a singular interest in organization and research, she enjoys designing daily planners, praise and prayer journals, project journals, and creative journals of all types. Marie holds a BFA in Interior Design from UGA and designed interiors for more than 25 years. She is now retired from interior design although, as a professional organizer, she enjoys the prospect of designing and organizing home libraries. Prior to 2008, she taught continuing education courses as well as designed and taught 21 on-line courses in interior design at Piedmont Technical College in Greenwood, SC. For many years, Marie has enjoyed the privilege of working with youth. First, as a Girl Scout leader for her daughter and grand-daughters and then with the Souled Out Youth of DRBC. Now, as an ordained minister, Marie participates in the Kairos Prison Ministry. While she utilizes many mediums in her art, dolls are her first love. Marie has been creating these for more than 40 years. She designs patterns for cloth dolls and doll clothes. She is the creator of Dolls on Parade© doll shows for charity. Marie is the mother of Jennifer, James, and Jim. She is grandmother to Dusty, Nikki, Austin, Malia, and Collin. She lives with her autistic son and their beloved dog, Arizona Sun. Most important to her are her relationship with God, her children, and grandchildren, who inspire her every second of every day. The addition of great-grandchildren Dakota, Wyatt, Elijah, Charlee, and Elias has brought boundless joy, introduced the need to build stamina, and revealed the promise of that generation. |
